i was thinking about the 2 billion money limit problem, and came to an interesting solution to it, and also thought of another idea.
heres the other idea:
currently you can bank a maximum of 300 attack turns.
what if, instead, you started out the game able to bank just 100 attack turns, and could spend money to upgrade your maximum attack turns to 200, 300, 400, or 500 (500 being the maximum limit)?
does this sound like a good idea?

that would add another cool feature to the game but i think its bogus to pay for turns or a turn max. i think if anything the max turns allowed for every should be 500 itself.

If it keeps you from implementing any of this stuff, it's a great idea.
ok to define a lot.
for the next round:
weapons will cost half what they do now, however,
each unit you produce will give only 1/5th the amount of oil (10 instead of 50)
also, each unit production upgrade will only give 2 units instead of 3, making the exponential increase in cost accumulate faster.
cost of spy upgrades now triple each time instead of double.
cost of trained units will be approximately 10 times what they are now
everybodys score will be spent oil divided by 5000 instead of divided by 1000.
the strike action and defense actions for a given set up weapons and upgrades will be about 1/4th what they are now

that stuff you listed is mandatory.
the turn limits are entirely optional, and will be implemented or not based on the feedback i get here

i think you should just set it higher, but not have to pay to get it at that...

I voted against it. I think 300 max is fine as it is.

ok was just kicking the idea around. most people seem against it, and i wasnt thrilled at the idea in the first place.
however, i think having a maximum oil storage will be good (that can be upgraded)
the idea is that it starts at 1 million, and can be upgraded to various levels, with the maximum being 2 billion. and the game wont allow you to sell items that would overflow your maximum. this idea came about because fen sold too many weapons and overflowed the maximum 2 billion oil and lost huge amounts of score as a result.

Well, that's gonna be cool. It's gonna make the game more strategic.

yeah it does a couple things. first off makes it so people cant save up for big stuff unless they first upgrade their storage. also makes the successfulness of farming off inactive players depend upon if they ever bothered to increase their oil storage or not. and last but not least, prevents people from losing insane amounts of points by accidentally overselling their capacity.

i think having money cap is going a bit to far and will make it way to hard to get cash and wil wreck the economy of the game because if you increase the price of everything then decrease the amount of money in the game no ones going to get very far and its going to be to hard to buy any substantial amount of anything within the round time limit. also fen was selling off i think

Oh yeah, is this thing gonna be spy-able?

money cap will be spyable.
and as for "getting far" in the game, once you can afford the best weapons, once you have all the upgrades, "getting far" is all completely reletive to everyone else, and since everyone will have the same handicap I don't see the relevance here.
Last round everyone had all the best upgrades in less than a week, so I think theres plenty of time for everyone to get everything. Also you say there wont be enough time in a given round to get everything. The main purpose of these kinds of changes are to make the game scalable enough that I can increase the length of the round, so certainly there will be enough time.

That is just stupid.
because most of the 'good' players in the game are the ones that check their account regularly, why would anyone increase their maximum banked turns or maximum oil unless they weren't going to be there, when they could instead use it on armor or weapons
