Why should I train my untrained soilders to become either an Attack Specialist or a Defense Specialist, what is its advantage?

Trained Attack soldiers get a 25% (?) increase in attack than an untrained one.

Trained Defense soldiers get a 25% (?) increase in defense than an untrained one.

You should only have trained ATTACK/DEFENSE soldier = number of ATTACK/DEFENSE weapons you have, or you're wasting your money training soldiers.

it was 25% last game, 15% this game. Mercenaries last game also gave a 25% advantage, making them worthless. This game they give 25% which is better than trained.

I might make these bonuses higher next round.
