Applications for Mods Thread (please dont **** it)

Here it is, the Apply to be a mod. Gonna run a wird approved poll for new mods. He didn't state how many, or any real requirements.

So please post your own application to be a mod. General rule for this thread is please only post once. If you s p a m this thread or flame someone else here, consider your chance to be a mod null & void. (pretty simple terms, lets see who can follow it)

So post your apps. Looking at friday (so everyone has a chance) to post the poll, and have it run thru monday evening (gives everyone a chance to vote).

If I missed anything, please PM me and I will edit the thread. So lets keep at least one thread here clean.

I would like to apply for Moderator status. I believe I am qualified in that i have not, am not, and will not cheat in the game of Oilfight. I am an active player who does not constantly **** across the forum. I believe that I can be trusted enough to handle anything asked upon me as a moderator. Many people feel safe talking to me, and feel that I am capable of being trusted.

I also feel that I will be capable of keeping the in-game feelings and in-forum behaviour separate, aka, I will do my very best to remain 100% unbiased in ALL forum activities other then personal posts.

I'll sign up. Now, I have had my disputes with people (specifically Soulz and Demo) but, I do htink i'd make a good mod, as I'd remove any and all ****, I'd do as wird asked. I'd attempt to be as unbiased as possible, and I'd try my best to make sure that people dont **** too much. I'd help Vamp (if I could) keep on updating the forusm with new features, so that it can stay clean and pristine. I'd also, close topics if the flames get too high. I'd feel that me, Napoleon/hay Hay, and Paul would make great additions too the forum mod team, and it would be a grand addition. Plus we could help each other, and when one of us is away the other could take over. I'd edit vulgar posts so if say someone posts a word that gets around the ban, i'd edit it so it didnt. I think I'd make a great additon too the mod team :)

I do not ****, and although a few FF are mad at me at the moment generally I have a fair relationship with most people who play. Im honest (except the recent event of spying FF forum) and have never cheated in oilfight. I can also remain neutral, and have alot of expirence in admin for forums. Thanks for your consideration.

Well, why not? I might as well post an app, since I'm here.

I'm on the forum fairly often, usually several times per day, excepting when I'm on vacation like I have been for the past few weeks. I don't really have any problems with any people, although I do like arguing with Techie and debating with Napoleon is fun, I try to keep that out of places it shouldn't be.

I'm a moderator on several forums, and I feel I do a fairly good job at removing stuff that shouldn't be there. And since I've been around a lot of spämmers, I'll try to keep a good handle on what späm should be deleted, and what is relevant.

Also, I believe that there should be at least 1 non-FF moderator. This has been brought up in the past, and the result that Niteshade, a few other FF members, other non FF/C members, and I agreed upon was that it would be good to have a non-FF mod, for appearances of neutrality. Vamp gets a lot of crap for using his mod powers in the game, and having a mod for another clan would help to get rid of a lot of those complaints, which I'm sure FF wouldn't mind. And I certainly think myself qualified :D

I'd like to be a mo on this forum for numerous reasons. I know that I don't have the experience on OilFight unlike most of the others whom have registered. I take that as an advantage mainly because I haven't experienced most of the drama and whatnot on these forums and am new to it. Yet I don't fail to understand the basic concepts of OilFight.

Another reason why I think I'd make a good moderator on this forum is my experience on being a mod. I've moderated the biggest non-official FlyFF forum. Though it closed down because of dd.am hosting problems it used to be located on this site. www.f3data.dd.am

Also currently have no OilFight clan/guild. I was in FTS but I recently quit (You can check the date I left FTS. It was the date I posted it on FTS guild thread on this forum. Just to assure I didn't leave as soon as I heard of this moderator application.) because I didn't want to be involved in arguments or the crossfire of clans/guilds, which I think is very fair.

My final reason is that I believe in fairness and I do not approve of cheating, or in this case, passing vital information in any way from Moderator powers unto members of the forum or simply players in OilFight.

I'd also like to suggest that all mods leave their current clans and join an all Mod clan. Though they could always befriend a clan, the all Mod clan would show who is a Moderator in game. Also, the Moderators should create new forum account so that they would be kept in secrecy. Not that fellow OF members would be pushing for information from them.

PS: I think Mods should be subjected to specific areas. Example vamp could be subjected to the off-topic section, another Mod could be subjected to Etc. section. This would make Moderating easier and yet harder for a specific Mod to cheat(give away information) as he will only have powers in that specific section.

Well, I previously mentioned that I would pass on the offer, but I've decided why not give it a try.

I would like to apply to be moderator of the forums. I've been playing for a while (since round 6), and know the game and it's rules. I also don't like pointless arguments and extreme **** (you know what that word is). Poor Wird has to take quite a bit of time reading all this. It would be my job to remove all garbage, and stop any extreme flaming. Would probably make our slander threads half as long, allowing wird to make a decision even faster, seeing as how we all get so impatient so easily.

Being in FF, I know my chances are slim, seeing as how we still have Vamp around. If I were to become a moderator, I would act completely unbiased. Even to those who seem to hate me. Believe me, I'm a person to see both sides of a story before I make an opinion.

So yeah, my app. If I make mod, less pointless fighting, and any other assistance whereever I can offer it.

what the hell i may have been playing for 3 weeks but in those three weeks i have i would say very active i am on the comp at least 2-3 hours and i have nothin better to do and i have been player mobs in other forumes so i now how the game is played so to say

I asked Vamp to modify my post, since I can't edit it, but seeing as he didn't I'll just post here.

The morning after posting my app, I thought about it, and decided that I wouldn't really do anything with moderatorship. I'm too lazy to do a good job, anyways. After a while it would turn into work, and then I'd hate doing it.
